The Nothing Phone (1) got disassembled in a YouTube video
Dave2D is the YouTuber in question, and he made a 4-minute video (embedded below) regarding this. He was interested in something that looks like a switch on the back, underneath the see-through glass. It turns out that’s not a switch, it only looks like it. That being said, he heated up the backplate, and managed to separate it from the rest of the phone. Underneath he found a number of small modules, some of which actually serve a purpose. One of them is a speaker module, which actually features pogo pins. That’s an interesting approach. You can also see the charging coil on the back, even without disassembling the phone, and so on. You can see the phone in pieces in this video, if that’s something you’re interested in. Do note that it’s not exactly a step-by-step disassembly video, though, that was not Dave’s intention.
The phone has over 900 LEDs on the back
The Nothing Phone (1), as most of you know, launched quite recently. It’s a device with uniform bezels, and a see-through glass on the back. The device also includes over 900 LEDs on the back, which make it quite interesting, especially in the dark. This is one of the easiest phones to recognize in the public, that’s for sure. That see-through backplate and notification LEDs aka Glyphs are really difficult to miss. The Nothing Phone (1) is actually a mid-range phone, fueled by the Snapdragon 778G+ SoC. It also includes 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and a really nice-looking 6.55-inch fullHD+ 120Hz display.
Wired, wireless, and reverse wireless charging is supported
The device has two 50-megapixel cameras on the back, and a 4,500mAh battery. 33W wired, 15W wireless, and 5W reverse wireless charging methods are also supported on this phone. Android 12 comes pre-installed, along with the company’s Nothing OS skin, and Nothing Launcher on top of it. You’ll also find stereo speakers here, and much more.
