Twitter may allow you to collaborate on Tweets
This information comes from Alessandro Paluzzi, a well-known tipster. He shared a screenshot that shows the “Collaborate on Tweets with others” screen, within the app. Based on this information, you will be able to invite other accounts to collaborate with you, to co-own a Tweet, if you will. It is also noted that you can only invite people who have a public account, and who follow you back. If the other person decides to accept your invitation, the said Tweet will be shared with their followers, and they’ll be shown as the author of the post, the same as you.
This feature has been in development since December, at the very least
Twitter has allegedly been working on this feature since at least December last year. The feature is still under development, and we’re not sure when is Twitter planning to launch it. Chances are it is coming, though there’s always a chance it will get scrapped in the process. In this particular case, chances are we’ll see this feature in action. It may actually prove to be an extremely good idea, especially for brands. Influencers will certainly love this, as will various brands. At the moment, you can tag another person, to give them credit in a tweet, or show that you’re promoting something together. It’s not the same thing, though. That person is not marked as an owner of the Tweet, nor does that tag surface that tweet on the other person’s timeline. This new feature is looking to change all that. It remains to be seen if this feature will be available for everyone, or will it be a part of Twitter Blue. Chances are it will be unlocked for everyone, but we’ll see.
