This time around, it is about the display of the device, and if the rumor is to be believed, the Galaxy S22 Ultra could sport the best display with a record peak brightness. According to the latest tip from the popular tipster, IceUniverse, Samsung is going to break all records in terms of peak display brightness on a smartphone with the upcoming Galaxy S22 Ultra. Apparently, this would be greater than its previous record for peak brightness. The tipster further also added that the company would “obviously” keep the best display for itself. For those who don’t know, even the likes of Apple make use of a Samsung display on their iPhones. The peak brightness on the iPhone 13 Pro Max maxes out at close to 1,200 nits. Whereas, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is rumored to come with 1,600 nits or even more.
The Galaxy S21 Ultra came with a peak brightness of 1,500 nits
For comparison’s sake, this year’s Galaxy S21 Ultra spotted a peak display brightness of 1,500 nits. Frankly, 1,500 nits are quite a lot, and if the Galaxy S22 Ultra is going to spot even more nits, then that would be staggering. Although IceUniverse spilled this information about the Galaxy S22 Ultra record peak display brightness, the tipster refrained from giving out the actual figures. Irrespective of the track record IceUniverse has, we would advise our readers to take this piece of information with a pinch of salt. That being said, Samsung actually manufactures the best smartphone OLED display. Moreover, as mentioned by IceUniverse, there is no doubt that the Galaxy S22 Ultra would come equipped with the best smartphone display ever. It would be interesting to see how it fairs out against its competition, especially its previous generation devices. Will the extra peak brightness actually be noticeable compared with its previous generation’s phone? The answer to that question can be cleared only when we have the actual product in our hands. Till then, these are all just rumors and speculations. That aside, the latest leaks also suggest that the Galaxy S22 series may spot flat front and back panels. The bezels are also getting slightly smaller and symmetrical all around, giving it a pleasing aesthetic. Besides, the S22 Ultra could also come with a 108MP primary lens.
