Specifically, the Sprint and T-Mobile carrier-locked variants are picking up the update. As per the latest report by SamMobile, the update arrives with version number A716USQU5DUG1 and is purely incremental in nature. This means that you won’t find any new exciting features bundled with this update. As per Samsung’s official software update schedule, the Galaxy A71 5G smartphone is listed under the quarterly software update schedule. So, the device will receive a new software update every quarter.
The update for Galaxy A31 is live for users in Brazil & Colombia
Coming to the August security update for the Samsung Galaxy A31, it is also incremental. So, there aren’t any new features or additional tweaks bundled with the update package. However, the security update for both devices improves the system stability and performance. According to SamMobile, Galaxy A31 August security update is live for users in Brazil and Colombia. Users in other regions are expected to pick up the update soon. As per the official Samsung Security Bulletin, the August 2021 security update fixes over 40 vulnerabilities related to user privacy and security. So, it won’t be available for all units right away. It will take its time before it hits on all the devices. In order to do so, you need to head over to Settings -> Software Update and hit the Download and Install button. If the update is live in your region, then you will receive an update notification. You can tap on this notification to begin downloading and later install the update on your Galaxy A71 5G or Galaxy A31.
