The OPPO Find X5 series may launch sooner than you think
If Digital Chat Station is to be believed, a Chinese tipster, the OPPO Find X5 and X5 Pro will launch in late February. Do note that we’re talking about a China launch here, their global launch may still happen in March.
He did not mention the date exactly, but that particular piece of information will likely appear soon as well. Now, those of you who are wondering why did OPPO skip the ‘Find X4’ branding, well, the number ‘4’ is considered to be unlucky in China. Many Chinese companies decide to skip it. That being said, the OPPO Find X5 and X5 Pro are not the only devices that will be launched during this event. The tipster claims that OPPO will have a lot more to show us. It is also said that OPPO may launch three devices in the global markets, not just the Find X5 and X5 Pro. The OPPO Find X5 Lite may also launch, as a mid-range offering from the company.
Both of these devices will be quite powerful, though we know more about the ‘Pro’ model
The OPPO Find X5 and X5 Pro are both expected to be quite powerful devices. We’ve heard much more about the Find X5 Pro, though, as the Find X5 is still a mystery. The OPPO Find X5 Pro will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. In addition to that, it will include OPPO’s very own NPU, the MariSilicon X. The expectations for the phone’s cameras are quite high, as this will be the first OPPO smartphone that comes as a result of the Hasselblad partnership. The device will feature a 6.7-inch QHD LTPO 2.0 display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will also include plenty of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage. Two 50-megapixel cameras will be included on its back, alongside a 13-megapixel camera. Android 12 is expected to come pre-installed on the phone, alongside OPPO’s ColorOS 12 skin. A 5,000mAh battery will also be a part of the package, alongside 80W wired, and 50W wireless charging.
