The OnePlus Nord N200 is now getting Android 12 with OxygenOS 12
This update follows the OnePlus Nord 2, which started getting the update just days ago. The update is now rolling out to the carrier-unlocked variant of the OnePlus Nord N200, by the way. It is also worth noting that this update delivers an Android security patch for May 2022. Unfortunately for the Nord N200 users, this is likely the last big Android update they’ll get. Why? Well, OnePlus promised only one major Android update is coming to the device. The company may change its mind, though. The device will keep receiving updates in general, though, just won’t get Android 13, most likely. So, what’s new? Well, if you’ve used OxygenOS 12 on one of the company’s smartphones, you know exactly what to expect. You’re getting most of the general Android 12 features, plus a number of features OnePlus brought with OxygenOS 12.
OxygenOS 12 looks considerably different than OxygenOS 11
Before you start updating, though, do note that OxygenOS 12 looks different than OxygenOS 11, quite a bit. It is more similar to ColorOS than OxygenOS 11 is, that’s for sure. This update improves AI System Booster, it pushes it to 2.1, for the system to run even smoother. You’re also getting some new dark mode-related tricks. Three adjustable levels are now available, so that you can personalize things to your liking. New style options for Cards in the OnePlus Shelf have also been added, making things easier to read. You can now also access the OnePlus Scout in the Shelf, while the OnePlus Watch Card has also been added. Work Life Balance feature has been added, and the same goes for support for automatic Work and Life mode switching. There are a number of parameters you can set.
The OnePlus Gallery has some new features as well
The OnePlus Gallery also got improved with this update. It now supports switching between different layouts with a two-finger pinch gesture, and can intelligently recognize the best-quality pictures. This update is rolling out over-the-air (OTA), and it’s a staged rollout, by the way. That means you may not get it straight away, but it should arrive in the coming days.
