OnePlus Nord 2 is receiving a slightly confusing new update
What’s going on here? Well, OnePlus did explain things, but the update may still confuse users who didn’t read the forum post. This update is based on Android 11, as it comes with OxygenOS 11, and it delivers June 2022 security patch to users in the EU and India. Why did OnePlus do this? Well, the company says that Android 12 with OxygenOS 12 is still in the process of staged rollout to the Nord 2 devices, so the company wanted to keep users up to date. It wanted to provide the latest security patch even to those who are still on Android 11. So, in theory, those of you who already updated your phone to Android 12 shouldn’t get this update. If you do get it, by mistake or something of the sort, you shouldn’t install it. OnePlus won’t push it to users on Android 12, though, so… chances are you won’t even see it.

OnePlus’ changelog did not mention anything else. There may be some bug fixes included, though, of course. Your phone will notify you once the update is available, though you can try to speed things up. You can navigate to Settings -> System -> System updates to check if the update is available, manually.
