Among the biggest new features is one for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra called Quick Notes. With Quick Notes in Samsung Notes, users can now skip the copy-then-paste process. Specifically, when using certain apps with the new S Pen. Or, at the very least, the “paste” portion of that. Now, when Galaxy S22 Ultra users are using apps such as Samsung Internet, Gallery, or Messages, links and page attachments can be attached to a Samsung Notes note. That’s simply by pulling the S Pen from its slot. In doing so, a new Air Command menu option is presented. That instantly links or attaches whatever is being viewed — for example, a website — to a new Samsung Notes Quick Note.
What does that have to do with Samsung Notes on the new Galaxy Tab S8?
Digging deeper, however, there’s an even bigger new Samsung Notes feature for those who buy both the Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Namely, both devices can be used in tandem with the same S Pen. And in an asymmetric fashion using one app. Dubbed “Collaboration View,” the new Samsung Notes feature effectively lets the Galaxy S22 Ultra phone be used as an overview. For instance, users can use the Galaxy Tab S8 display as a canvas for artwork. While the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra houses the UI for selecting tools, brushes, and colors. Other functions that work asymmetrically will undoubtedly be included or added in the near future by Samsung. But the primary objective is the same and undeniably impactful for those who use these devices in search of better productivity of any kind. Effectively freeing up screen space typically taken up by UI. Allowing users a clean slate on one device while that UI resides on the phone instead.
