The moto watch 100 looks like a versatile smartwatch
Right now, we’re all waiting for Wear OS 3 to launch on other Wear OS devices, but that honor belongs only to Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 watches. Luckily, these watches use Motorola’s own Moto Watch OS. This can be either good or bad depending on your software preference. Regardless, it’s hard not getting excited about this new watch. They look like promotional images that Motorola will use to advertise this watch when it launches. This watch will come in one variant only, and it will have two different colors silver and black. The metal around the watch will have a matte texture for both colors with two glossy metal buttons on the right side.
What features will this watch have?
As with any smartwatch that launches today, there are plenty of health-related features to go along with typical smartwatch functions. Firstly, the moto watch 100 watch will most have the usual host of health tools like a heart rate monitor, a sleep tracker, and a run tracker. You’ll be able to keep track of this from the proprietary app. Motorola gave this watch a 5ATM water resistance rating. This means that the watch can be completely submerged underwater. It can withstand water pressure equivalent to a depth of 50 meters. This means that it definitely withstand any sort of sweat. Just make sure that you steer clear of saltwater and pool water. When it comes to battery life, Motorola is promising a whopping two weeks of juice. Now, that obviously doesn’t reflect average to heavy use for the watch. Depending on how you use the watch, you will get varying results.
The price is the real kicker
There’s a lot of heavy competition in the smartwatch space, and most of it’s happening in the $300+ range. However, if you want to pick up a moto watch 100, it will only set you back $99 (now we know why it’s called the moto watch 100). That’s a more than compelling price, especially for a watch that looks this nice. For that much money, you’re getting a sturdy built watch with water resistance, 26 different health modes, and a long battery life. The moto watch 100 is now available to preorder, and order will start shipping December 10th.
