Playing the game with friends is a rather simple process that doesn’t take too long. And in this handy guide we’ll walk you through the steps to get friends into your lobby so you can all drop in together.
How to play PUBG: New State with friends
To get started with playing PUBG: New State with friends (or even without), you’ll need to launch the game. So go ahead and boot it up and let’s get started. If you don’t have any friends in the game yet, you’ll want to add some. We’ll walk you through that first.

To add friends in PUBG: New State, there’s an icon in the top right corner of the UI that is specifically for this purpose. You can do a couple of other things from this menu to as this is just the friends menu in general. But it’s where you’ll normally go to add friends if you need or want to do so. It’ll be sitting just between the Gift Box icon and the NC icon. Alternatively, there’s a big “add friend” button on the homescreen that will take you to the screen as the above method.

Next, once in the friends menu look for the add friend button in the bottom left corner of the screen. Once you tap this, you can add friends from three different sources. There’s a tab for Search, Relationship, and Recent. Search lets you search for your friends if you know their in-game handle. Relationship surfaces suggestions for friends if there are any to suggest. Like if you have you accounts linked to the game and some of your friends on those social accounts play too. Lastly the Recent tab is for adding players that were in some of your recent matches. Utilize this if you want to add someone to your friends list who you enjoyed playing with in a particular match. Maybe they did really well and you want to team up next time.
How to add friends to your PUBG: New State lobby
Now if you want to play with the friends you’ve added, you’ll need to add them to your lobby, or join theirs. You’ll need to do this before you start a match and drop into the map.

To invite someone to your team so you’re both in the same lobby before you start, look for the Add To Team button. It’ll be sitting in the top left corner of the UI, just under your Profile avatar. Once you tap this button you’ll have the option to add people from your friends list, from your clan (if you’re in a clan), or from recent matches. And that’s basically it. Once you’ve added friends and invited them to your lobby, you can hit the start button to enter a match and squad up. Now go chase that chicken dinner.
