The December SMR is available to all Galaxy Tab S7 variants. The Wi-Fi model is getting its update in South Korea with firmware version T870XXU2DVL3. The LTE variant is picking up the same release with firmware version T875XXU2DVL3 in Europe and T875NKOU2FVL3 in South Korea. Samsung should soon release the update in other markets, though the build number may vary slightly. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S7+ LTE is also getting the latest security patch in some markets. The update bears the firmware version T975NKOU2FVL1 in Samsung’s homeland. And if you’re using the 5G model, the new SMR is available for your tablet as well. The updated firmware versions for Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G are T976BXXU2DVL1 (Europe) and T976NKOU2FVL1 (South Korea). The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is another Samsung device that recently started picking up the December SMR. The update is available in a host of Latin American countries with firmware version P615XXS4EVL1, SamMobile report. The Korean behemoth should expand the release to more markets in the coming days. Note that this tablet is yet to get Android 13 in some regions, including Asia and Latin America. The new security patch could come bundled with the big Android version in some of those.
The latest Galaxy Xcover models are also getting the December update
Samsung has also recently released the December security update for its latest Xcover series rugged smartphones. The Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro is getting the new SMR in Europe with firmware version G736BXXU1BVL1. The update is also available for unlocked models in the US. The new firmware version for these models is G736U1UES1AVL1. The carrier-locked units should join the party soon. The handset hasn’t yet picked up Android 13 stateside. The Galaxy Xcover 5, meanwhile, is widely picking up the December SMR in Europe and Asia. The updated firmware versions in the two regions are G525FXXS5CVL4 and G525FXXS5CVL5, respectively. This rugged smartphone didn’t arrive in the US. But if you’re using it or any other Samsung devices mentioned above anywhere in the world, the latest security patch should be available to you soon.
