Before we begin, it is worth saying that the same source already shared Vivo X80 Pro+ specs in January, but they weren’t as detailed. Both the Vivo X80 Pro and X80 Pro+ will be high-end phones. The ‘Pro+’ model will be more powerful, though.
The Vivo X80 Pro+ will include beastly specs, headlined by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1
According to Shadow_Leak aka Sam, a tipster, the device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The phone will also feature a 6.78-inch QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. That will be a curved AMOLED display provided by Samsung (E5), and it will be an LTPO 2.0 panel with 10bit colors. Vivo will also include its V1 ISP inside of this smartphone, which we’ve already seen in the Vivo X70 Pro+. That chip managed to boost the photo quality on that phone by a lot. So, our expectations are quite high. The Vivo X80 Pro+ will arrive in 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB LPDDR5 RAM variants, it seems. We certainly did not expect a 6GB RAM model to be available, that’s for sure. 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage (UFS 3.1) options will be on sale.
80W wired, and 50W wireless charging will be supported
A 4,700mAh battery will also be a part of the package, and it will support 80W wired, and 50W wireless charging. The device will also include a set of stereo speakers, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. That will probably be an optical fingerprint scanner, we’ll see.
The phone will offer four rear cameras, and ZEISS optics
A 50-megapixel main camera (Samsung’s GN1 sensor, f/1.3 aperture, OIS) will be backed by a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera (Sony’s IMX598 sensor). A 12-megapixel telephoto camera (Sony’s IMX663 sensor, 2x optical zoom) will also be included, and so will a 12-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (Sony’s IMX663 sensor, 10x hybrid zoom, 60x ‘Code Zoom’). The aperture on the main camera is really interesting here, and it remains to be seen if this info is accurate. ZEISS optics will also be included, by the way. A 44-megapixel front-facing camera is also mentioned by the source. Android 12 will come pre-installed on the phone. You’ll also be able to utilize 6GB of virtual RAM here. The device will be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, and it will have an X Axis linear motor. The tipster claims that the base model of the device will cost CNY6,499 ($1,029). So, it won’t exactly be cheap, no at all. This phone is expected to come to global markets as well, by the way. It is expected to launch in the near future.
